š” Two ways to boost donations: set a donation goal to show a progress bar on your donation page, and create donation tiers, which are preset monthly giving levels donors can pick from. Both live in Settings, then Donations.
Donation goals
A donation goal puts a progress bar on your public donation page, showing how much you've raised toward a target. It's a simple way to motivate supporters.
Set a goal
On your dashboard, open Settings, then Donations.
Turn on Enable donation goals.
Enter your goal as a dollar amount.
You can reset the tracking start date to now if you'd like only future donations to count toward this goal.
What counts toward it
The progress bar counts donations received since the goal's start date. It doesn't include transfers in or other funding, just donations.
What donors see
Donors see a bar that reads "$X raised of $Y goal," so they can watch the progress in real time.
When you reach it
When you hit your goal, HCB emails your team and drafts an announcement ("We've reached our donation goal!") that you can edit and publish to celebrate with your followers.
Donation tiers
Donation tiers are preset monthly giving levels, like "Supporter" at $10 a month, that donors can pick instead of typing in an amount. Each tier has a name, a monthly amount, and an optional description for perks.
Create tiers
In Settings, then Donations, turn on Enable donation tiers.
Click Create tier.
Add a name, a monthly amount, and an optional description.
Check Show on donation page to publish it.
You can create up to 10 tiers and drag them into the order you want. New tiers stay hidden until you choose to show them.
Tiers are monthly
Choosing a tier sets up a recurring monthly donation. If a donor would rather give once, or give a different amount, they can pick Custom instead and choose one-time or monthly.
What donors see
Donors see a card for each tier (its name, description, and monthly amount) plus a Custom option. They pick one and continue to checkout with the amount pre-filled.
