Why we can't delete your account
As a fiscal sponsor, Hack Club operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit status under which all hosted organizations run. We must maintain strict financial and accounting logs for these organizations, as their records directly impact our own non-profit compliance.
All of the kept data is required to be retained by law for IRS charity compliance or tax/accounting, fraud prevention purposes
Account deactivations, applications archive
You cannot deactivate your account or archive your application on your own. If you wish to do this, please email your request to [email protected].
Deactivation functions similarly to deletion while preserving essential legal data. You will no longer be able to log into your account. However, HCB will retain your personal details (including your name and date of birth) for financial compliance, along with a history of your organization purchases and transactions.
