Each transfer requires you to enter different information and has different requirements
After entering the required information, submit the request
Each transfer is reviewed on the next business day. Once reviewed, your transfer will be sent (arrival times vary depending on the transfer method)
You can transfer money on HCB in various ways. Use the Transfers option when you can’t make a transaction for a product or service using a card, or if you prefer not to use one.
Types of transfers
There are 5 methods to transfer money: ACH, Mailed check, Wise, Wire, and HCB.
ACH transfers and Mailed checks can only be done for transactions within the United States
Wise and Wire are international methods used for countries outside the United States.
ACH
Only available for sending money to US bank accounts
Fast and have no associated fees to send on HCB
Typically arrives within 1 business day (up to 2 business days) after being cleared by the HCB team
Mailed checks
Only available for US mailing addresses and bank accounts
Best for recipients who can’t accept electronic payments
There are no fees for sending mailed checks on HCB
Checks are sent through the postal service, so delivery times vary (typically up to 1-2 weeks)
Used for international transfers outside the United States
Fees typically range between 3-5% of the transfer amount
Not available in every country, though most users should be able to use it (availability)
Time varies for each transfer, but after it has been sent, it is trackable by the recipient through a link sent to your email
Used for international bank transfers outside the United States
Used only for transactions above $500 (this requirement is waived for organizations that have raised more than $50k)
No associated fees to send on HCB (but currency exchange rates apply)
Typically arrive within 1-5 days
HCB transfers
Transfers of money directly between HCB organizations
Fastest transfer method
No bank details are required
Completed shortly after review by the HCB team
