If your transaction was declined and you received an email stating that the merchant is not allowed, or if the status on HCB shows "Merchant not allowed ↗️," it indicates one of the following:
The vendor or merchant you are trying to purchase from has been restricted by HCB to comply with financial or charity compliance regulations.
You are trying to use a peer-to-peer (P2P) payment or digital wallet service. These services should not be used directly with HCB cards. Instead, transfer money using the official methods available on the HCB transfers page in your dashboard.
If you believe you have a valid payment purpose or that the merchant has been mistakenly blacklisted, please contact our team.
