How do I receive and / or deposit checks?

There are two ways to have physical checks deposited into your HCB account balance.


  1. Your donor can mail the check directly to Hack Club at 8605 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 86294 WEST HOLLYWOOD CA 90069 and we will route the funds to your HCB account.

Please be sure the donor does the following if they choose to do this:

  • Make the check out to The Hack Foundation or Hack Club
  • Include your team name (as stated on your HCB account) in the memo

Please know that checks mailed to Hack Club can take up to one month to be deposited into your HCB account.


  1. You can have a check mailed directly to you, and you can deposit the check through your HCB dashboard.

Please be sure to follow these steps if you choose to do this:

    1. Go to "check deposits" on the lefthand side of your HCB dashboard.
    2. Take clear photos of the entire front and back of the check.
    3. Provide the check amount.
    4. We will verify your check. Verification may take up to one week. Once verified, the funds will be available in your account.

Please ensure the check meets the following criteria:

  • It must be made out to Hack Club or The Hack Foundation.
  • It cannot be made out to you or your organization.
  • You do not need to sign the back of the check.
  • The amount you enter should match the amount on the check.
  • We only accept checks from U.S. financial institutions and in U.S. dollars.
